JONATHAN LYONS

In 1988 I earned my BFA in film from New York University, where I studied with noted animation historian John Canemaker.  After working several years in traditional animation I learned CG animation on the job at Duck Soup Produckions in Los Angeles.  I soon became animation director for numerous commercials, including a dozen Pilsbury Dough Boy spots.  In 1998 I moved to northern California to work at Industrial Light & Magic Commercial Productions, and later went into their feature department.  While there, I worked on all three Pirates of the Caribbean films.   Since leaving ILM I have taught animation at The Academy of Art, and worked as a lead animator at Image Movers Digital.
